approximately 30% tour bus
groups, 50% tourist and
vacationers, 20% walk-ins,
travel agencies and

revenue will exceed more
than $550,000 in 2007 and
more than $650,000 in 2008
because of the impact the
new 42 Million Dollar Sight
and Sound Theater, Branson
Landing and the Branson
Convention Center will have
on Branson’s city wide Hotel

The Branson Convention
Center will be managed and
operated by Hilton Hotels
who operates and manages
over 30 convention centers
throughout the United
States. Projections indicate
that more than 150,000
people will attend
conventions in Branson the
first full year the
convention center is in
operation. It is believed
that these attendees will
stay an average of 2.5 days
while in Branson. This
equates to over 250,000
additional room nights for
the lodging industry in
Branson if an average of 1.5
people occupy each room
while staying in Branson.
The new Sight and Sound
Theater, scheduled to open
in April 2008 is the most
expensive theater to be
built in Branson and the
owner predicts there will be
over 1,000,000 attendees the
first year it is open.
